Self Portraits
Self portrait images and words from members of our maker-community, friends and individuals doing interesting things and shaping the world.
Wood-worker based in Oughtibridge, Sheffield, making useful and beautiful things. Neil’s approach to making is to first forage and find wood - a collector of sorts - then craft something informed and inspired by the characteristics found within that piece. His home workshop is a treasure trove of wood, beautiful tools and the sound of the river in the background.
Lotte is the mother and baker behind Flori Bakery in York. I first came across her work when she purchased some pieces and I’ve loved watching her business grow from strength to strength. Lotte tends her bakery like a gardener, balancing seasonal, local ingredients with much loved traditional bakes - many of the ingredients are grown in the bakery allotment. She has carved out a wholesome and meaningful way of life for her team and young family, focussing on all the good things in life - mainly pastry!
