Brass and lead flower frogs, made in Japan. These Niwaki Kenzan are used for ikebana flower displays, but are also great for more Western style arrangements too. The brass pins are strong enough for woody material, as well as soft green and grass stems. You can also make criss-cross cuts into the bottom of larger twigs, to stick them in more easily. Lower into water in bowls, vases (or whatever you like!) and water daily.
Ikenobo style scissors by Niwaki, for traditional Japanese flower arranging. The short, broad blades are strong enough for woody cuts in hard stems.
