Vase in Shino
Vase hand-thrown in our flecked stoneware and glazed in a shino type glaze. The glaze has lots of variation, from deep orange to metallic browns and reds and is very reactive to the firing atmosphere, meaning each piece is completely different. A band of painted red iron oxide above the foot of the vase adds a subtle interruption of the glaze. Gas fired in August 2024.
