Mug in Delicate Chun, with iron brushwork
An elegant mug for coffee or tea thrown in a pale stoneware and glazed in a chun-type glaze. The glaze is a gently flecked grey and blue tone. There is no pigment added to this glaze, the colour comes from trace amounts of iron in the clay and raw materials. Where thick, the glaze is almost opalescent creating a more blue tone. Iron brushwork just above the foot of the mug.
