Welcome to our Summer Seconds and Sample Sale. We host either an in-person or online seconds sale approximately twice a year, and our email subscribers get advance access.

All the pieces listed on this page are either sample or seconds.

Sample: These are pieces, usually made as part of a development process in a design collaboration, or as experiments.

Second: A piece that has some kind of defect, such as the glaze is too thin, there is a slight crack, or the shape is off. In this particular sale we have a significant amount of work that is listed as a second due to bloating in the clay, which is caused when the clay gets too hot.

As our pots are all handmade, this can happen from time to time. We only ever sell slight seconds where the defect is cosmetic and doesn’t effect the function.
