The Workshop:
This workshop is an intensive 1 day session where all the fundamentals of throwing pots on the wheel will be covered; how to centre clay and create vessels on the wheel, how to turn forms and how to make alterations to forms such as attaching handles and forming spouts.
We will fire and glaze one (and if relevant, more than one) finished piece and post to you after the course has ended.
You don’t need to have any pottery experience to attend this course, although it might be useful as a refresher course for those who have dabbled at the wheel in the past.
All equipment and materials will be provided.
Aprons will be provided but please wear suitable clothing that you don’t mind getting covered in clay. Please wear suitable footwear.
Once you’ve made your booking, we will contact you via email to discuss your plans, aspirations and interests so that we can tailor-make the session.
