Ceramic jar wheel-thrown in a pale stoneware and glazed in a ‘celadon-type’ glaze with wood ash sieved over the top before firing. Gas-fired in October 2023.

Part of an edition of eleven jars, a collaboration of Pottery West and Neil Whitelaw. He says about the choice of wood for this lid:
The ripple in this ash was something I wanted to pair with a simpler glaze. The darker lines really picked up the flecks. I was pleased with this one. The ash was leftover from some chopping boards I made. I kept the interesting bit!
Each jar in the collection is completely unique.
