Part of an edition of eleven jars, a collaboration of Pottery West and Neil Whitelaw. He says about the choice of wood for this lid:
This piece is from an older part of the tree behind my house and was more gnarly and cracked. I tried to find a piece that would pick up the darker glaze at the base of the jar and I think that worked really well.
Each jar in the collection is completely unique.
